Grays Harbor Fire District 2 continued to educate the public on why the levy lid lift is needed.

Grays Harbor Fire District 2 continued to educate the public on why the levy lid lift is needed. Officials say a recent hose test discovered some fire hoses need to be replaced and that cost is up to $321 per 50 feet of hose, that up from just under $200 for the same hose in 2020. Supporters say everything from fuel cost to building materials to fix an aging roof have gone up over the past few years.
