Washington’s new Harbor Heights youth facility opens June 9 in Grays Harbor, aiming to ease overcrowding at Green Hill School in Chehalis. The 48-bed program in Aberdeen will house young men ages 17 to 25 in a six-month, peer-led leadership program focused on therapy, education, and job skills. Located at Stafford Creek Corrections Center, it operates separately from the adult prison. State officials say it’s a first step toward safer, more effective rehabilitation for juvenile offenders.
