The city of Ocean Shores has started construction on the long-awaited High Dune Trail. Local leaders came out to the site last week for a groundbreaking ceremony on the $1.2 million trail that will stretch for ¾ of a mile. The project was started in 2018 and the pandemic along with cost increases put a pause on getting the work started. The trail will feature an ADA accessible walking path with a series of paved and gravel areas, turn out spots with benches as well as interpretive signs showcasing local wildlife, wetlands and beaches.
