The Hoquiam fire department assisted in a house fire Saturday by Aberdeen fire department and Cowlitz Fire District 2.

The Hoquiam fire department assisted in a house fire Saturday by Aberdeen fire department and Cowlitz Fire District 2. The call came in about the home I the 2900 block of Sumner Ave. A portion of the road was blocked off while fire crews dowsed the fire and cleared the scene. Published reports say there was no one living at the home and there were no reports of injuries. The cause of the fire has not been determined. The Sumner house fire marked the third structure fire call in 24 hours between Hoquiam and Aberdeen fire departments.
