Since May 25th, police have responded to 13 prowling reports.
A suspected serial prowler is in custody after a Hoquiam officer spotted him wearing clothes matching surveillance footage from a recent vehicle break-in. Since May 25th, police have responded to 13 prowling reports, mostly on the north and west sides, where small items, credit cards, and in one case, a $20k ring, were stolen. A debit card from a June 6 incident was used just minutes later, and the suspect’s clothing was caught on video. A 29-year-old was arrested yesterday morning near Lincoln Street on an unrelated warrant and he’ll now be questioned about the string of thefts.
