There’s been several reports of people receiving phone calls with someone soliciting donations in the name of Hoquiam Police.

Hoquiam Police are warning residents of a phone scam involving the department. There’s been several
reports of people receiving phone calls with someone soliciting donations in the name of Hoquiam
Police. Hoquiam Police says they are not calling Anyone asking for donations and they would never ask
you for personal information over the phone. If you get a call like this, you’re instructed to simply hang
up.
