Levy Project Gets Funding From Board Of Commissioners

The Aberdeen – Hoquiam Protection Levy project gets $1.5 million in needed funding from the county. The Grays Harbor Board of County Commissioners approved an agreement this week to put $1.54 million into the project over the next three years. The flood protection project will eventually consist of two levies, designed to protect life and property in Aberdeen and Hoquiam during flood events. Construction is slated ot begin next year, with completion of the project and state certification expected by 2026.
