Local firefighters travel to Eastern Washington to help battle a 30,000-acre wildland fire. Two firefighters from Montesano and one from East Grays Harbor Fire & Rescue were deployed to assist with firefighting efforts. Officials say that brings the total number of fire fighters from Grays Harbor helping battle wildfires in the state to 8 now. While most deployments are for 14 days, when the need arises, those tours can be extended to 21 days.
