Long Beach leaders are looking to fill a city council seat after longtime member Patrick Reddy resigned. Reddy, first elected in 2021 and narrowly winning by just one vote, is moving with his wife to Cle Elum. The city will take applications through early April and plans to interview candidates later that month before making an appointment. Voters will ultimately decide who serves the remainder of the term in a 2027 special election.
