New details are emerging about the August 18 discovery of a mummified man inside an Old Willapa home. Public records obtained by the Chinook Observer show Pacific County deputies conducted four welfare checks between January and February but did not enter, despite reports that 50-year-old Ricardo Eanes might be dead. Deputies finally breached the home after its previous owner regained the property and requested entry. Eanes and his pet cat were found dead inside.
