The Oakville Fire District responded to a mutual aid call for a house fire in Thurston Country on Monday. Grays Harbor Scanner reports West Thurston fire was first called out to the housefire yesterday morning. Fire crews say smoke detectors alerted the family inside and they escaped unharmed. Fir crews were able to keep the fire from spreading throughout the rest of the home. The cause has not been announced, but reports say it looks to have been accidental.
