The Pacific County Health and Human Services Department released its COVID 19 After Action Review
report this week. The after action review basically covers what the health departments response to
COVID was and how to improve on that response the next time a similar situation comes up. The re[port
covered from March of 2020 until May of 2022. In that time the county reported 3,859 total cases,
which county officials say is lower than the actual number due to under reporting. In the steps to
improve section of the report, the recommendations included better educating the public, ensuring
adequate testing and vaccinations and to shares data faster with the public and other government
