With temperatures dropping into the mid-20s in North Pacific County, the Emergency Warming Shelter in South Bend is providing critical overnight services, sheltering two individuals early Sunday morning. Shelter coordinator Scott McDougall emphasized the need for more volunteers to sustain the program, which is partially staffed by the Pacific County Emergency Management Agency. Community members interested in helping are encouraged to contact the Willapa Harbor Chamber of Commerce to learn how to get involved.
