The Grays Harbor PUD says although there were fewer total power outages last year, those outages affected more customers. In a presentation to the Board of Commissioners this week, the PUD says the total number of outages fell from 312 in 2021 to 278 last year, with 22 of those being “major events”. The report also shows that wind, storm, and tree related outages caused the majority of the power interruptions, while car versus pole collisions accounted for over 40% of the customer hours without power.
