A 60-year-old Raymond man has been arrested for first-degree arson in connection with a 2024 house fire in Pacific County. According to the Pacific County Sheriff’s Office, the man admitted to setting the blaze using gasoline-soaked furniture and railroad ties as part of a conspiracy involving the property owner. Investigators say the fire was part of an insurance fraud scheme, with the homeowner having recently taken out a $163,000 policy. Detectives made the arrest ealier this week.
