Schools In Grays Harbor & Pacific Counties Get Portion Of Expanded Grant

Schools in Grays Harbor and Pacific Counties will get a portion of the expanded $3.5 million in grant money for the Statewide Farm to School meal program.

Schools in Grays Harbor and Pacific Counties will get a portion of the expanded $3.5 million in grant money for the Statewide Farm to School meal program.  The goal is to have more locally sourced fruits and vegetables on local school lunch trays. The grant awards can be from $2,900 to $400,000.  This year the expanded program allows for $89,000 to be spread out between Aberdeen, Hoquiam, and Raymond schools.  The money will help these districts add Washington-grown foods to their child nutrition programs.  Get more information about the farm to school program at our website.
