 
                            The agency has released final numbers from the extended holiday weekend for district 8, which covers 7 countries including Grays Harbor and Pacific counties.
It was a busy Memorial Day Weekend for the Washington State Patrol. The agency has released final numbers from the extended holiday weekend for district 8, which covers 7 countries including Grays Harbor and Pacific counties. According to the release, from Friday May 26th through Monday May 29th, troopers made 814 traffic stops for speeding, 265 for aggressive driving and handed out 58 seat belt violations and 17 tickets for distracted driving. Troopers in district 8 responded to 30 crashes that weekend with one being a fatality.
