Grays Harbor Environmental Health is monitoring the toxic algae that has shown up in fresh water collected from the Oyhut Canal just south of Lake Minard. The Health Advisory wants you to avoid the freshwater areas in and around Ocean Shores. The toxic water could cause illness in people and animals. If you have come into contact with the algae, see a health care advisor.
