A burglary in progress was stopped this weekend after neighbors reported suspicious activity at a home in Belfair. Mason County Sheriff's Office says on Saturday deputies found a man inside the residence who refused to comply and had access to multiple firearms. After a brief standoff, negotiators convinced the suspect to surrender, and all stolen property was recovered. The man, who deputies say was on active parole, was booked into the Mason County Jail as the investigation continues.
