The City of Hoquiam is accepting applicants from qualified residents.
The Ward one seat in the Hoquiam City council is officially vacant and the city is accepting applicants from qualified residents. Paul McMillan’s last meeting wad on July 11th after he announced he would be moving out of the ward 1 district. At Monday’s meeting the official call to fill the vacant position was announced, with residents who are registered voters and live within the ward 1 district who are interested in serving on the council to apply. Also, at this week’s meeting councilmembers voted councilman Steven Puvogel as the new council president. The notification will last 30 days for the open ward one seat and a new member will be chosen at the September 12th meeting.
