The final in person meeting before the April election about Prop 1 for a Regional Fire Authority was held last night in Cosmopolis. Meanwhile, the three fire departments that would form the RFA responded to at least a combined 20 calls by the end of the day. 11 of the calls were said to have been called within a 2.5 hour span. Supporters of proposition one say streamlining service and adding firefighters would help better serve the towns of Cosmopolis, Hoquiam and Aberdeen. The Central Grays Harbor Professional Firefighters Local 315 is supporting the measure. Ballots are due by April 25th.
