Cowlitz County Deputies are still investigating a shooting that happened late last week near Montesano. Reports say multiple calls were received last Thursday afternoon for a person shot at Sterling’s Landing off Devonshire Road. A man had been shot in his midsection and was flown to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle for elevated treatment. Investigators say the shooting was the result of a previous dispute involving people from several groups who were at the river landing. Although the weapon used has been recovered, as of this report no arrests have been announced by the sheriff’s department.
