The union has been on strike since September 12th .
The Weyerhaeuser strike is now in its 5th week with no possible end in sight. A spokesman for the
International Association of Machinist and Aerospace Workers reported this past weekend that 86
percent of members voted on the latest proposal from the company and a vast majority rejected it.
Union members said the proposed wage increase was too low, vacation time was shortened and for the
first time since the 1990s employees were asked to pay for healthcare premiums. The union has been
on strike since September 12th .
